How we match

Each result compares the attachment maker's published hydraulic requirements with the loader maker's published auxiliary hydraulic output. The same code runs the checker and builds every page.

1. Pick the best circuit

We test the machine's standard, high-flow and super/enhanced-flow circuits separately and show the best result. Ties go to the lower-flow circuit.

2. Flow (GPM): the main test

  • Good fit machine flow is inside the maker's min–max range. If only a minimum is published, flow must meet it.
  • Marginal flow is up to 10% below the minimum, or up to 15% above the maximum. Also marginal when the maker publishes only a maximum and machine flow is under 75% of it.
  • Won't run flow is more than 10% below the minimum or more than 15% above the maximum. Also won't run when the maker labels a head high-flow and only standard flow is available.

3. Pressure (PSI)

Machine pressure below the head's rated minimum, or relief pressure above its maximum, makes the result marginal (less torque, or a relief/case-drain question for your dealer). Pressure alone never makes a result "won't run".

4. Horsepower

Engine HP up to 10% under a published minimum is marginal. More than 10% under is won't run. Above a published maximum is marginal.

5. Weight

If the head weighs more than the machine's rated operating capacity, the result is marginal.

6. Overall result and confidence

The overall result is the worst of the checks. A field the maker doesn't publish is left blank, never estimated. That check is skipped, which lowers confidence: high means flow and pressure were both checked, medium means flow only, low means flow is unknown.

Known limits

  • HP basis (gross vs net) and ROC basis (35% vs 50% tipping load) vary by maker. We show the basis where it is published.
  • We don't yet check coupler, case drain, electrical harness or control kits, which many high-flow heads need.
  • Specs change by model year and option package.
Verify with your dealer. Results come from published specs and our matching rules. They are not a guarantee. Coupler type, case-drain line, electrical connectors, auxiliary options, relief settings and model year all matter. Confirm with the dealer and the attachment maker before you buy or run anything.
